Need we say more?? This is home!!...San Francisco and the nearby Bay Area cities...Fremont, San Mateo, San Jose (do you know the way?), Santa Cruz, Monterey. Some 'hey-I'm-here' pics in Anaheim (Disneyland and other points of interests in downtown) California are also here. Pics at the just-opened, Apple Store in San Francisco, here!!

In Nevada, it has been mostly Reno, Carson City, Lake Tahoe and, yes, good-old, Las Vegas (the Strip as well as old downtown) - where all the actions are. Just choose your medium of travel: drive or fly! Other pics of Ruby in Anaheim and LV, here!

Chiba and Tokyo, Japan, 2002:

Courtesy of an invitation by my former boss, Nobuyuki Konishi ("Domo arigato, gosaimasu"!!!), it was on to the Land of the Rising Sun - Japan. Chiba is a prefecture (province) very near downtown Tokyo. Via the ubiquitous train, it is approx 45 minutes from the Narita International Airport. Going to downtown Tokyo, from where I stayed at in Chiba (Ichikawa-Mama Station), it is but a short 20 minute train ride. For a densely populated place, it is extremely clean!!!

The place is very urbane -yet quiet - and, very, very interesting. Short walks can lead you to either a shopping mall or to a serene Shinto shrine. The Tokyo River bisects Chiba and downtown Tokyo. Along this river bank, we rode our bicycles - meandering in the small yet, squeaky-clean roads, in our discovery of more interesting sights! Yet, a McDonald's, sushi bar or just a typical noodle house are easily accessible! A real mixture of the old and new!

You can always go to downtown Tokyo and be shocked by the tons of people in one place, most specially during lunch breaks and the 5:00 pm rush hour - it will put to shame any crowded place you had been to!

Ahhh...Akihabara, Ueno, Shinjuku, Roponggi and other places we went to near Tokyo were but just samplers of the sights and sounds this country has to offer!!!!
